LitMus Office – Archdiocese of Dublin
In 2004, the LitMus (Liturgy and Music) Office was incorporated into a new Diocesan Liturgical Resource Centre, based in Clonliffe College. The Director was Father Pat O’Donoghue and Mrs. Gráinne Clinton, the full time Secretary. Father Damian McNeice (Master of Ceremonies to the Archbishop of Dublin) was also part of the team. Over the years the Centre coordinated major liturgical events while offering practical support to parishes and communities over a range of liturgical ministries.
Father Damian was reassigned in 2021 and is now the pastor of the parishes of Castleknock/Laurel Lodge and Porterstown. Since 2021, Grainne is the Secretary of Our Lady of Victories Parish, Ballymun Road from where she coordinates the Emmanuel Music Programme for Second Level Schools including the very successful relaunch post covid in 2023. OLV is also one the core churches for the Laudate Primary School Music Programme.
In 2022 we reverted to the name LitMus Office and were relocated to St. Paul’s Church, Arran Quay.
Father Pat hopes that the LitMus Office will continue the mission to act as a support for parishes and other groups in the area of music and liturgy despite the diminished resources. The Spring and Autumn Liturgy Days will make a welcome return to the diocesan calendar at their new location in Árd Scoil Rís on Griffith Avenue. He continues to direct the Diocesan Music Group who lead music at certain diocesan celebrations and for live and online prayer events at the Monastery of St. Alphonsus where he has been Chaplain since 2012.
The LitMus Office is located in the offices at the back of St. Paul’s Church, Arran Quay.
